After reading the obits for Florian I was at least thinking that 'Future Sound Experience' would be something worthwhile. Hmmmmm! No idea you added the acoustic guitar etc., but the producer/enginer was c#*p. This was NOT the album to say goodbye to Florian with. Don't get me wrong - the original music itself is sublime. The problem is with the editing: DREADFUL!!! You are worth more than this FLORIAN. |

What this site needs is an up to date list of Popol Vuh items currently available on CD, with catalgue numbers or with reliable online retailers suggested as outlets to buy from. It seems that most Cd retailers list some albums, byt nit others HELP ! Otherwise, lovely site... |

La noticia de su muerte me entristece, siempre su música ha sido una fuente de paz para mí, desde que la descubrí en la película de Herzog Aguirre hace de eso veinte años, cuando era un adolescente... uno se siente algo más sólo, esa mezcla de austeridad y fuerza, esa profundidad, no volverá a ser creada de la forma en la que Florian lo hizo, y eso es lo que queda, lo que hizo. |

I'm rather ashamed to say that I only visited this site irregularly, but tonight I discovered that Florian Fricke is dead. I'm in shock. I don't know what to say. I loved his music with all my heart. He has left a body of work comparable to anything I have ever heard in my life. I am writing this through tears. Tears of sadness, tears of joy, tears of thankfulness. Thank you Florian for the beautiful, beautiful music you have left us. You will never be forgotten. You were a shining light in a musical world often bereft of integrity, soul and spirit. You changed my life in a small but important way. I will always cherish your records. |

Wierd. Here I am in Marrakech, I can't stand the internet, and, doodling with the remains of my hour, I find that Florian Fricke has passed away. That music changed who I am, and, I hope, continues to do so. Heard deeply, Popol Vuh has sounded to me like Truth, or maybe I'm just nuts.
